proverbs {paraphrased}

proverbs 12:12

  '...thieves are jealous of each other's loot,
                 but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit.'

those that steal always want what they don't have and yet, upon gaining it, are never fully satisfied... from tangible things to intellectual property... they are constantly consumed by their desire for more. they have an insatiable greed which causes undeveloped and broken relationships. they can't be happy for their friends.
but those that know the truth...which is that God is the author and creator of all things, the giver of good gifts and blessings ... they know that the true path to happiness and contentment is being fully satisfied in HIM and HIM alone. he enables his own to DO and to BE.  we know we are HIS, and as such we are able to enjoy who we are, and enjoy the significance of others.

What a true statement! That is the danger of being jealous of other people's things... never being content with what you have! This causes great unhappiness! I think that is why God says in His 10 commandments: "Do Not Covet". Because He loves us and wants us to have joy in living! And there is nothing that steals joy faster than jealousy!

OH, yes, fulfillment comes from Jesus. All things will pass away, but our contentment and joy in Jesus will remain!!!! Hallelujah!

Crystal,

I came across your videos and awesome songs on you tube a few months back. I just wanted to let you know how much your songs have touched me and helped me go through my recent cancer. At my young age of 37 your songs have really made me look at life in a whole different perspective.
Thank you, God Bless your family and you!
Semper Fidelis,

Joe
