i'm from Kentucky!  ok, more accurately, my father is from Kentucky.  having spent a good amount of time there throughout my childhood, i feel as though it's kind of like my home-town-away-from-home.

the Kentucky Horse Park is a beautiful place to visit and horse-lovers from all over the world visit to catch a glimpse of retired celebrity race horses, unique breeds from around the world as well as see serious horse-shows.  we've been a few times and it remains one of my favorite destinations!

we had the chance to visit a handful of private horse farms where we saw at least a dozen colts and fillies as well as their million dollar mama's!  we also got to see behind the scenes at Keeneland racetrack, a most amazing experience for a horse-lover!!
