our beautiful (buckskin, Chincoteague pony) mare, Starlite, had a little run in with a branch. it's almost unbelievable how sharp broken off branches can be. but clearly...they can be razor sharp! we don't know exactly what happened, but we found her like this. the vet was called immediately and she quickly came out, cleaned and stitched up the wound beautifully. i'm happy to say her injury healed excellently!
oh...i should add that these photos are not for the faint of heart!
